It is a modification of Polychasial cyme inflorescence. The peduncle is reduced to a circular disc and bear sessile or sub-sessile flowers in a centrifugal flowers i.e. older flowers at the centre of the disc and younger flowers towards the periphery. The flowers make a globose head or glomerule. E.g. Acacia, Mimosa
