Just by mere classification on the basis of visible features makes it impossible to fully differentiate the bacterial kingdom especially in interrelated species. Hence, they as classified based on the other features such as Modes of Nutrition (Autotrophic or Heterotrophic), Gram nature (Gram positive or Gram negative), motility, metabolic activity and DNA sequencing.
