The advantages of artificial insemination are:

  1. The semen obtained from desirable male can be cryopreserved at low temperature of about -196oC in liquid nitrogen for future use.
  2. The semen can be transported in cryopreserved form to different places and countries and used to develop superior animals.
  3. The semen obtained from a single male can be used for a large number of females.
