The term nucleoside refers to base + sugar

A pentose sugar with the attached Nitrogen base forms a nucleoside

In DNA,

Nitrogenous base Adenine (A) + deoxyribose = Deoxyadenosine

Deoxyadenosine is a nucleoside which is consists of the base adenine and sugar deoxyribose
