Leaf is usually green in colour, having broad to thin leaf lamina. The expanded portion of the leaf is called blade or lamina and the stalk by which the lamina gets attached to the stem is called as petiole.

There are three types of leaves they are:

(i) Dorsiventral

(ii) Isobilateral

(iii) Centric.
