Auxins are produced in the growing apices of shoot and root. The main physiological effects of auxins are:

  1. It will cause apical dominance.
  2. It initiates the callus formation
  3. It also prevents the abscission of leave which results in the fall of leaves and fruits.
  4. It helps in the production of parthenocarpic fruits.
  5. It enhances cell elongation.
