The initial phase of growth is slow which is immediately followed by a phase known as exponential phase. In this phase the rate of growth increases. At this phase all the progeny formed after mitotic division undergoes division again and again. Whereas the pattern of arithmetic growth in which the only one daughter cell after mitotic division continue it. The rest of the cells undergo differentiation and maturation.
