The important factors affecting the plant growth are:

  1. Nutrients: Adequate supply of nutrients is required since it will act as source of energy.
  2. Water: Sufficient amount of water is required; it helps in the growth of the cell and also maintains the turgidity of the cell.
  3. Oxygen: It is needed for respiration.
  4. Light: It is an important factor that favours the plant growth. It is essential for photosynthesis and growth of the plant. The optimum amount of light is always required.
  5. Temperature: The optimum temperature also a factor which favors the plant growth. Extreme temperature has negative effects on the plant growth.
