Kreb’s cycle takes place in the fluid matrix located within the compartments formed by the cristae of mitochondria. Whereas the oxidative phosphorylation takes place in the inner mitochondrial membrane in the eukaryotes. But in the prokaryotes it takes place in the plasma membrane.
