Leprosy shows the following symptoms:

  1. Small hypo-pigmented patches on the skin which are non-itching and de-numbed (without sensation).
  2. Skin lesions and scaly skin.
  3. Thickening of peripheral nerves (commonly ulnar nerve) and loss of sensation.
  4. Ulcers and nodules.
  5. Loss of hair of the eye-brows.
  6. Deformity of fingers (claw hands), toes (claw foot, drop foot), nose depression, decay of various body parts (bones, eyes, kidneys, etc) in advanced stage.
  7. Also, blindness and paralysis may occur in the advanced stages.
