DIFFERENCE BETWEEN POLLEN AND POLLENIUM

Pollen:

  1. Pollen are the male reproductive bodies produced in the anther of stamens.
  2. They are the microspores of angiosperms and gymnosperms.
  3. They are haploid, unicellular and uninucleate structures.
  4. It produces male gametophyte containing two male gametes.

Pollenium:

Pollenium is a mass of pollen grains held together by a sticky substance and transported as whole during pollination.
