The living characteristics of viruses are:

  1. They contain Nucleic Acid either DNA or RNA as their genetic material
  2. The nucleic acid contains all the set of instructions for the structure and function of the virus
  3. They can replicate on their own by utilizing the host cell’s synthesis machinery.
