The pectin is naturally occurring polysaccharides which acts as a cementing material layer that separates two daughter cells from each other. The pectin is the mixture of the polygalacturon and polysaccharides. Pectin is an ingredient which is used for thickening the jams and jellies.

Whereas cellulose is a structural component of the cell which is formed of the polymer of β-D-Glucose.  It is the main component of the plant cell.
