The inbreeding is the process of producing the progeny by crossing the genetically similar parents. It also occurs during the selfing of the plants. The inbreeding process results in the expression of the lethal and the recessive genes. The inbreeding causes the formation of the pure breeds there by reducing the heterozygosity. The breeding of the plants of two different species of the same genus is called as the inter breeding.
