The antheridiophore is differentiated into a long stalk and a terminal disc. The disc is eight lobed and growing points are situated at the apex of each points. The upper zone has the air chambers which is alternating with the antheridial chambers. The air chambers has the assimilatory filaments which undergoes photosynthesis. The antheridia are formed inside the antheridial chamber.
