What is epigynous flower? Give some examples.

A flower whereby the stamen,sepals and petals are joined a part above the ovary,the ovary is inferior

When the position of ovary on thalamus is inferior and the other floral whorls are superior, the flower is called Epigynous flower.

Examples: Sunflower, Orchids
