In noncyclic photophosphorylation, photolysis of water molecule takes place to form H+, OH- and an electron.
The H+ ions are accepted by NADP– ions to form NADPH2 which functions as “CO2 fixative”.
The OH– ions accumulate to form water and liberate Oxygen.
The electrons released pass through the cytochrome system and reach the ionized chlorophyll a to make it stable.
