Osteoarthritis
The general term “ARTHRITIS” stands for joint inflammation and OSTEOARTHRITIS is the most common type of arthritis, which typically affects older people.
Everyone is troubled by this condition, to a greater or lesser extent, as the person grows old.
Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint condition in which the cartilage covering the surface of the bones wears out and causes the joint friction to increase. We may also say the bone becomes thinner and rougher. When the bone surface rubs against each other it is sensed by the nerves in the periosteum causing rigorous uneasiness.
Regular exercise is highly recommended to overcome this condition, as it helps preserve the healthy range of motion of joints.
