What is the difference between Central neural system (CNS) and Peripheral neural system (PNS)?

CNS consists of the brain and spinal cord and the PNS consists of the 12 pairs of cranial nerves arising from the brain and 31 pairs of spinal nerves arising from the spinal cord.
