The human eyeball is made up of three layers which are-1) Sclera. 2) Choroid. 3) Retina.
The retina is the innermost layer of the eyeball which consist of three sub layers which are- 1) Ganglion cells. 2) Bipolar cells and 3) Photo-receptors cells.
The photoreceptor cells are of two types - 1) Rods and 2) Cons.
Rods are sensitive to dim light (Scotopic) and black and white vision.
Cons are sensitive to bright light (Photopic) and coloured vision.
Thus cons of the retina enable us to see coloured objects around us!.
