Penis

Erectile organ of sexual intercourse; deposit semen into the female vagina.

Testes

Produce sperm and sex hormones

Scrotum

The bag of skin that contains the testes in men; keeps the testes at the proper temperature

Epididymis

Site of sperm maturation; mature sperm are storage in epididymis

Ductus deferens/vas deferens

Paired duct for sperm maturation, storage, and transport (carries sperm from the epididymis to the ejaculatory duct); leads from the epididymis to the urethra

Ejaculatory duct

The ejaculatory ducts enter the urethra; these paired ducts are for transporting sperm and glandular secretions

Urethra

Conducts sperm; sperm mix with fluids that are secreted by three exocrine glands (seminal vesicles, prostate gland, and bulbourethral gland) in urethra

Seminal vesicles

Paired seminal vesicles are glands on the posterior base of the urinary bladder; contribute nutrients and fluid to semen (fructose and seminal fluid)

Prostate gland

This accessory reproductive gland in males contributes to the seminal fluid

Bulbourethral glands

secretes mucus-containing fluid to semen
