DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ACROPETAL AND CENTRIPETAL SUCCESSION

Acropetal succession:

It is a modified form of racemose inflorescence in which the older flowers are at the base and younger ones are at the apex.

Centripetal succession:

It is a modified form of racemose inflorescence in which the peripheral flowers mature first and then maturation proceeds towards the centre.
