Viviparous (vivus – alive) animals are the animals which give birth to young ones. Development of the embryo takes place inside the body of mother leading to live birth.
Examples:, all mammals; mammals are the animals which posses mammary glands for feeding their young ones (baby) (Examples: dog, cat, elephant, horse, humans etc.) give birth to young ones except one mammal called duck-billed platypus which lay eggs.
