Two scientists who contributed to the discovery of the first known virus, tobacco mosaic virus were Ivanovski (1892) and Beijerinck (1898).
Tobacco mosaic virus was discovered by Ivanovski in the year 1892. It was first isolated in paracrystalline form (Pure form) by Stanley in the year 1936.
