Budding is a form of asexual reproduction in which a new individual is produced as an outgrowth of the parent.
It is an identical copy of the parent.
It involves the production of a small outgrowth (bud) from the parent cell.
During this process, the parental cell wall bulges out in the form of an outgrowth.
The nucleus of the parent cell divides into two daughter nuclei.
The bud enlarges and gradually completes its development.
A transverse septa then separates the bud from the parent cell and leads an independent life.
Budding takes place in
Hydra, Yeast.
