The abscisic acid is primarily produced in the mature green leaves. In the normally watered plants the abscisic acid is produced cytoplasm of the mesophyll cells. It is collected in the chloroplast.
Abscisic acid is a natural growth inhibitor. It is synthesized in the leaves and is translocated to the tip of stem through the phloem tissue.
