Sunlight is the whole source of energy for all living organisms. This sunlight is used as the energy to drive the synthesis of organic compound in all plants. This physico chemical process by which the photosynthate (carbohydrate) is produced from the carbon dioxide and water in the presence of sunlight is known as photosynthesis.
