FUNCTION OF THE SEPTUM IN THE HEART

The main function of the septum in heart is that it acts as barrier in between the two ventricles of the heart.

It divides the heart in such a manner that it divides right and left ventricles the septum.

It does not allow the mixing of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood.

It also maintains rigidity and support to the heart septum helps in proper functioning of the heart.
