The anaerobic respiration can release less than 7% of the energy released by aerobic respiration of a molecule of glucose. During anaerobic respiration not all the energy released is trapped as energy bonds of ATP. Since the anaerobic respiration produces the acids or alcohol, it is hazardous. Where as in the aerobic respiration by Krebs cycle glucose is completely converted into carbon dioxide and water, carbon dioxide is then used again for photosynthesis. Thus in effect anaerobic respiration is less efficient than aerobic respiration.
