Increase in substrate concentration increases the rate of enzyme catalyzed reaction.
But, this rate increases upto a certain point only.
When all the active sites of the enzymes are occupied by the substrate molecules the rate of reaction does not increase.
At this point, the enzyme becomes saturated with substrate molecules.
