The thyroid gland produces two very similar hormones called thyroxine and triiodothyronine:
(1) Thyroxine (T4) - Most cells of the body
(2) Triiodothyronine (T3) - Most cells of the body
and
(3) Calcitonin - Bones, Kidneys
