The ring of cambium formed by the interconnection of fascicular and inter fascicular cambium is called as the cambial ring. During the secondary thickening the cambial ring become meristematic and produces secondary tissue on either side of the cambium. So that a compact ring of secondary tissue is formed. First the region of the intra fascicular cambium become active and inter fascicular become active in the later stage. So that complete cambial ring produces secondary tissue.
