The hormone called gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) stimulates the anterior pituitary to secrete the gonadotropic hormones. Gonadotropic hormone stimulates the gonads to produce gametes and sex hormones.

The two gonadotropic hormones are (1) Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) and (2) Luteinizing Hormone (LH).
