When a flower is capable of being divided into two similar halves only in one particular vertical plane, much like a yoke, it is said to be zygomorphic ('yoke shaped', 'bilateral symmetry'). Generally these flowers have petals of two more different shapes, sizes, and colors.
Examples: PEA, IRIS, GULMOHUR, BEAN, SNAPDRAGON, CASSIA etc.
