In angiosperms the cross pollination that is the transfer of pollen from one plant to the stigma of another plant is brought about by the agents of pollination. These agents may be either biotic or abiotic. Some examples are

1. Biotic agents: Insects, Birds, Bats, Snails and Slugs etc.

2. Abiotic agents: Winds, Water.
