The seed germination is affected by both the external as well as the internal factors. The important external factors are; a. Water, b. Oxygen, c. Temperature, d. Light.

Some of the internal factors also influence the process of germination. They are;

a. Reserve food material, b. Viability, c. Dormancy, d. Hormone.
