The plant genetic resources are stored and conserved in the gene banks. Gene bank usually provides long term storage of the genetic resource for its conservation and distribution purpose. It is an exsitu method of conservation. There are different types of gene banks such as the seed banks, field gene bank, and invitro gene bank.
