A Punnett square is a representation of possible results of various crosses by using squares. It is also called as the checker board method.
It is a simple mathematical method for calculation of offsprings in F2, F3, F4…. generations.
The cross between two pure plants by considering one pair of contrasting characters is called Monohybrid cross.
A Punnett square is a method used to represent the possible outcomes of a monohybrid cross.
