  • The time during which most women slowly stop menstruating is called menopause. It occurs usually at around the age of 50 and more likely between ages 45 and 55.
  • If menopause occurs before age 45 it is considered as early menopause.
  • This time a woman no longer ovulates as woman’s follicles are either matured or degenerated. Without follicles ovaries stops secreting estrogen and progesterone to continue menstrual cycle, consequently menstruation stops.
