Cerebellum is a posterior portion of the brain (posterior to the medulla oblongata and pons).
It coordinates skeletal muscles to produce smooth motions and controls subconscious activities
Cerebellum has very convoluted surface in order to provide the additional space for many more neurons.
The hindbrain comprises pons, cerebellum and medulla.
