Bowman’s Capsule (also known as the Glomerular Capsule) is a double-walled epithelial cup that surrounds the glomerulus at the beginning of the nephron and collects the filtrate.
Water, salts, nutrient molecules, and waste molecules move from glomerulus to glomerular capsule. Glomerular capsule participates in the filtration of blood from the glomerular capillaries.
