Photophosphorylation: formation of ATP (adenosine-triphosphate) molecules from ADP (adenosine-diphosphate) and IP (inorganic phosphate) in presence of sunlight is called photophosphorylation.
It occurs in leaves of green plants. These leaves contain green pigments called chlorophylls in that chlorophyll there is a stack of coin like structure called grana.
In grana there are quantasomes which function as photosystem in which photophosphorylation occurs.
