When an ovarian follicle is fully matured then it contains an oocyte/egg/female gamete. The fully matured follicle is called Graafian follicle.
The female gamete is internally attached to the internal wall of Graafian follicle (i.e. membrana granulosa) by connection of cells called Cumulus oophorus/Discus proligerus.
