The non-vascular plants are the amphibians of the plant kingdom since it requires the moist environment. The non-vascular plants cannot survive in the habitat which does not possess constant moisture. Since these plants lack the vascular tissues, they absorb the water on their surface by capillary action, diffusion and cytoplasmic streaming.
