Conifers are the tree which bears cones and some of the common members are pines, hemlocks, spruce, Abies, Podocarpus etc. The leaves of these trees are either small or needle-like or scale and they remain as green all the year round. Only the oldest leaves are shed. The needles have the waxy coating that helps to reduce the moisture. The seeds are grown in cones.
