Grafting is a method of vegetative propagation. In this method a bud or small part of stem removed and transferred to another plant. The plant from which the bud is taken is taken or removed is known as the scion or the graft. The plant in which the scion is attached is known as the stock. The stock is the plant which are resistant to diseases and pests and which can efficiently absorbs water as well as the nutrients.
