- Many of the essential enzymes and other chemical substances are present in the cytoplasm.
- Many of the vital reaction also occur in the cytoplasm.
- The cytoplasm gives shape to the cell.
- The cytoplasm is the ground substance or matrix of the cell.
- It mediates the transport within the cell.
- The cytoplasm also dissolves the cellular waste.
