Granulocytes: this are the types WBCs(leukocytes) which contain granules in their cytoplasm hence called granulocytes. there are three types of granulocytes which are-
1) Eosinophils: take acidic stain called Eosin. during allergic condition eosinophil count increases called eosinophilia.
2) Basophils: it takes basic stain i.e. methylene blue. it releases histamine and serotonin in the blood.
3) Neutrophils: these are the scavengers in blood. it detects harmfull foregin substances and engulfs it thus gives protection.
