It is the connection between atrial and ventricular musculature. It begins at the AV node and then divides into left and right branches as it goes down towards ventricles.

The right branch comes out a little earlier and passes down the right side of interventricular septum. A large part of this reaches to the anterior wall of right ventricle where it again divides into Purkinje fibers.

The left branch goes down on the left side of the septum and is distributed into left ventricle after dividing into Purkinje fibers.
