  1. Increase in the temperature of earth’s surface due to concentration of CO2, is known as “Green house effect” because green house constructed for growth of tropical plants in cold countries work on same principle.
  2. Increased concentration of CO2 prevents the infra-red heat radiations.
  3. It deflects back the heat radiation on the earth.
  4. Deflection of heat radiations increases the temperature of earth surface.
  5. The high temperature causes melting of ice caps which results into increase in the sea level. Most of the land will be submerged.
